In 2002, Justice for Jews from Arab Countries (JJAC) convened a legal committee of respected experts in international law and history co-chaired by Prof. Irwin Cotler and David Matas. Its mandate - to conduct research, and publish definitive legal briefs on rights under international law, and potential avenues for redress, for former Jewish refugees displaced from Arab countries.

Published in 2004, the report entitled, “Jewish Refugees from Arab Countries: The Case for Rights and Redress” has been utilized by JJAC in meetings with senior officials at the United Nations and international agencies; and with Parliamentarians and government officials in the US, Canada, Britain, Belgium, Russia, Italy and the European Parliament.
